Thor's +5 Returning Hammer of Smiting

Like all +5 weapons, the DM will add +5 to the AC hit when using this weapon but the damage bonus has already been factored into the damage wheel.

This hammer is permanently imbued with the smiting effect. This means that when used in combat, a critical hit can be scored if the player slides a natural 19 or 20. This weapon is not subject to further effect from Oil of Smiting. However, if some other crit-enhancing magic can expand one’s crit range beyond 19-20, use whichever crit range is wider. I.e., crit-expanding effects do not stack, they overlap.

If thrown, this compound weapon immediately returns to its owner’s hand when the attack is complete. Thus, this weapon can be thrown every round.

Requires a 20 Dexterity or higher to use. When a token requires a minimum stat to use, the stat in question must be raised by permanent means. I.e., if you want to use a token that has a stat prerequisite, you must equip other tokens which raise that stat for the entire adventure. Temporary effects (e.g., potions) which last only a single room or round cannot be used to meet the minimum stat requirement.

Note: Only a natural 20 is an automatic hit. In order for a 19 to count as a crit, the player must still hit the target’s AC.

  • 6× Philosopher’s Stone
  • 25,000 GP Eldritch Ore Bar
  • plus ONLY ONE of the following:
    • Wish Ring
    • 15,000 GP in Reserve Bars

*It must be an Ultra Rare weapon with the word “Mighty” in its title. “Might” weapons are not eligible.
