Remember: “Ranged” is an umbrella term that encompasses both missiles (physical items propelled through the air) and Spells (cast magical effects).

Whether it’s a single lens (e.g., Lens of the Hawk ) or a pair of lenses (e.g., Abyssal Lenses of Taunting ), each Eyes slot item occupies the complete Eyes slot. Therefore, with Cranston’s Helpful Hat, one could equip one lens & one eye patch (or “eyepatch”), one lens & one pair of lenses, or just about any combination of two Eyes slot items one likes.

However, one may not equip more than one eye patch–it’s rather difficult to see when one has both eyes covered. It’s fine to equip more than one lens or other ocular device that doesn’t block the character’s vision.
