Remember: “Ranged” is an umbrella term that covers both missiles (physical items propelled through the air) and Spells cast from the class card (not scrolls, items, or “cast as a scroll” effects).
When wearing these goggles, the ranger’s favored enemies are expanded to also include Evil Outsiders and Giants.

E.g., if the druid casts a spell that deals 2 damage to all monsters, only one of the monsters would take an extra point of damage. The druid chooses the recipient of the extra point of damage.
Cold damage inflicted on the wearer is reduced by 1 point per attack/effect
Any time the wearer scores a natural 20 on an attack slide, the wearer heals 2 HP.
Note: This is one of very few items that can only be equipped by one of the fighter classes–in this case, dwarf fighters cannot use this item.
