Spirit Pet Red Dragon
When used to make a successful missile attack (slid as weapon on the combat board), this alchemical weapon deals Fire damage to the monster. It is usable only once per adventure, whether the attack succeeds or misses.
Though this token can be used only once per adventure, it is not consumed on use and may be used again on a future adventure. If a DM tries to collect this token after you’ve used it, point them to this page to show them how wrong they are.
Other than not being collected on use, for game mechanic purposes, Spirit Pets are considered alchemical weapons. Any principle that applies to alchemical weapons also applies to Spirit Pets–again, other than not being collected on use. Like all alchemical weapons, this item deals double damage if the attacker scores a natural 20 on the attack slide. But unlike thrown physical weapons (dagger, spear, etc.), alchemical weapon damage is not increased by the attacker’s Strength score.
This specific Spirit Pet may only be used if the character has also equipped an Eldest Orb of Dragonkind. It takes great power to bind the spirit of a dragon to a mortal. Without that very potent orb, this pet cannot be summoned.
Spirit Pet is a new token slot. A player may only bring a single Spirit Pet with them on an adventure–even if the Spirit Pet tokens have different names. Once used in combat, a Spirit Pet becomes dormant until the owner’s next adventure.
