Like all +5 weapons, the DM adds +5 to the AC hit when using this weapon but the damage bonus has already been factored into the damage wheel.

Sidekick Gib Gub is a living, sapient, shuriken that deals Blunt damage instead of Piercing. As far as in-game mechanics are concerned, anything that applies to shurikens applies to this token. Gib Gub must be thrown–he cannot be wielded as a Melee attack. Because he’s a thrown weapon, the thrower’s Strength bonus is added to damage. Monks may throw Sidekick Gib Gub and one other shuriken (if the player has more than one other shuriken) per combat round, but it does not count as a flurry of blows attack.
