Quiver of Anointment
Allows the application of a magical weapon-based oil (oil only, not any other fluid) to a single projectile-launching weapon as a Free Action. It cannot be used in conjunction with thrown, compound, or melee weapons. Projectile-launchers include bows, crossbows, slings, “blunder” guns, as well as any kind of weapon that shoots/flings/launches ammunition.
In addition, the oil applied by this quiver will last for the entire combat–even if the oil would normally last for only one round or a single attack. The magic of this item works underwater. It has no effect on oils designed to be ingested by or applied on characters.
Even if you are able to equip more than one quiver, ammunition cannot simultaneously benefit from more than one quiver at a time.
Note: Only one Free Action is allowed per round. Therefore, the effect from this item cannot be combined in the same round with another Free Action. E.g., you could not drink a potion as a Free Action using the Belt of Retrieval and coat a weapon with an oil using Quiver of Anointment as a Free Action in the same round. You could drink the potion as a Free Action and coat your weapon as a Standard Action (or vice versa), but that’s all you could do that round.
