Golden Apple of Salvation

After taking a Standard Action to consume, damage from the next melee attack to hit the user will be reduced by up to 16 points. Once any amount of damage has been mitigated, the effect fades–even if less than 16 points of damage was negated. The effect from this item affects only one successful melee attack against the consumer, even if the attacker can make more than one attack per round. The effect from this item dissipates when the consumer moves into the next room–even if the consumer was not struck by a melee attack.
