Bracer of Quivering Palm
Worn on the wrist of a monk when making flurry of blows attacks, what would normally be armor becomes an offensive weapon. The token is placed in one of the monk’s combat sliders but both sliders are still used per normal open handed combat. If this weapon is used to score a natural 20, the monster will immediately perish if the 8🖐🏿 on the damage wheel is facing the damage dot indicator on the combat board.
Only one Bracer of Quivering Palm may be used at a time, but it can be used in conjunction with another flurry-compatible weapon.
If you equip a bracer-weapon on one side, you may not equip, use, or benefit from a hand-held melee weapon on that same side or vice versa. E.g., you could equip a bracer-weapon on your left wrist and use a flurry-compatible hand-held weapon in your right hand, but you could not equip both a bracer-weapon and a hand-held weapon on the same side. However, unless they are part of a set-bonus, you may switch one or both bracer-weapons for another bracer-weapon(s) while in the dungeon. You may not swap a bracer-weapon(s) for non-weapon bracers–or vice versa–while in the dungeon.
Note 1: In general, the death effect will work on any type of monster (including constructs and undead), but some creatures may have a natural immunity to it or magical protection against it. A hand result in this case deals 8 points of damage.
Note 2: The death effect of this item is triggered by sliding a natural 20. It does not require a critical hit. Thus it can still function when fighting creatures that are immune to critical hits.
