In the hands of a paladin, this sword deals an additional +3 Damage when it’s used to score a hit against evil creatures.
In the hands of a barbarian, dwarf fighter, or fighter, this is an “ordinary” +3 weapon.
History: The extra “plus” on this weapon was the result of a pulling the “Key” card from a Deck of Many Things on a Silver Ticket run in 2008. The sword is soulforged to its owner and may not be used by anyone else.
Details of this artifact are still shrouded in mystery.
This item does not contribute toward the “(of the) Ancients” set bonus.
The possessor of this unique Artifact is allowed to play a multi-class character. He picks two classes from any of remaining character cards (after everyone has picked theirs) and he carries both cards with him during the adventure. The character can use any spells or special powers from either character and use any magic item (other than armor) usable by both. As a dual-class wizard he could wield a sword but not wear armor. The character’s hit points are equal to the sum of both classes,

Adds +3 to all saving throws for everyone in the party, adds +2 to the wearer’s AC, grants the wearer the permanent ability to fly at will (see below), and functions as a permanent bless effect (+1 To Hit and +1 to saving throws vs. fear effects for everyone in the party.)
Fly: Allows Gearon to fly any distance. No check for success is required. Gearon is restricted to carrying only the equipment on his person.
Gertz can put up to five permanent magic items (not potions, scrolls, or anything that is normally consumed on use) into the pack–excluding weapons and/or armor. Once the items have been sacrificed, the magical effects of the inserted items are bestowed upon Gertz and they will affect all other members of Gertz’s active party for all of Gertz’s subsequent adventures that year. These benefits do not remain in effect on characters if they are not currently grouped with Gertz.
This Artifact grants the power of an Amulet of Wonder to its owner and his entire party. In addition, if the current power of the Amulet of Wonder has a random effect, all the party members may roll (or flip, or whatever is used to generate the random effect) twice and select the result they like best between the two.
Side Effect: Any time the possessor rolls a 1 on a saving throw,
This Artifact bestows the following upon its owner:
- +3 to all saving throws
- +10 Treasure Chips to the total earned each adventure
- Allows its owner to play as the highest level character available
- Grants Divine Intervention once per adventure
The Coin occupies one charm slot.
Divine Intervention: The character is allowed to beseech his deity to aid him in his endeavors.
This Artifact grants an additional free slot for any item, allowing its owner to use additional items beyond normal limits. E.g., Lazlo could equip a second necklace or a third ring or a second pair of boots or a sixth ioun stone, etc. It does not grant one extra slot for all item slots simultaneously, he must pick one per adventure. This power does not negate the rule against equipping duplicate items.
It also adds +10 Treasure Chips to the total earned each adventure by the owner.
All characters in the party gain +1 level
Side Effect: Smackdown takes half the damage from the first party member to be attacked in any combat. E.g., if the first player would have taken 20 damage, Smackdown and that character each take 10. This affects any kind of damage in combat, be it physical, natural, or magical.
Note: +level effects do not stack
Once per game, the owner may read the rogue skill test clue without having to successfully complete the rogue skill test.
This unique token is soulforged to Patrick Rothfuss.
The rapier will fight by itself as long as Widseth is within 30′. Physical barriers do not sever the mental connection between the rapier and its owner. It can’t chase and fight flying creatures, but it can be extended (within the 30′ range) to fight a foe separated by a chasm or physical barriers. While the sword fights, Widseth may do whatever he likes, including attack with another weapon, cast spells, or perform bardsong.
